ArcBridge Sourcing Quote Comparison for Alternative Buildings

ArcBridge Sourcing lines up factory answers against a single brief. The service is independent of adapteo. It does not claim authorized dealer status, and a quotation here is for an alternative system a supplier is willing to name.

Each supplier should price the same building use, the same footprint, and the same destination. Shell, delivered, installed, and turnkey packages stay on separate lines so a low unit figure is not compared with a figure that includes foundations, stairs, and utilities.

Lock the buyer inputs

The desk will not ask a factory for a number until use, occupancy, module dimensions, and project location are written down. Wind speed, ground snow load, and seismic design category are included when the buyer already has them. If those criteria are unknown, the quotation must say which assumption it used.

Jurisdiction matters because IBC, IRC, and HUD Code are different regimes. A relocatable classroom is not automatically a manufactured home, and a site office is not automatically accepted under the local building code. The buyer and the authority having jurisdiction keep that decision.

Separate frame, envelope, and site work

A comparable answer names the primary frame, secondary framing, purlin and girt layout, and whether members are hot-rolled steel or cold-formed steel. Insulated metal panel, openings, and thermal transmittance belong to the envelope line. Foundations, crane lift plan, and utility rough-in belong to the site line unless the supplier explicitly accepts them.

Bay spacing, eave height, and clear span are required for a rigid frame. For a volumetric module, the closed transport envelope and the set footprint are both required. Mixing those two lengths is a common way quotations stop being comparable.

Normalize the commercial lines

Freight, duties, taxes, installation, and optional canopies are requested as their own lines. Currency and the choice of per-unit or whole-order budget stay with the buyer. A supplier preference for high-end, mid-range, or budget finish is recorded as a preference, not as a rating the desk has verified.

Deviations are marked included, excluded, optional, or substituted. The buyer approves a substitution before it is treated as accepted. ArcBridge Sourcing organizes the questions. It does not award the contract and it does not certify the plant.

IAS AC472 and ISO 9001 can be requested as documents that apply to a named plant and a named system. ArcBridge Sourcing does not display those marks as its own.

Put units on the criteria line. Wind speed belongs in mph, ground snow load in psf, and eave height in feet. A 12 ft by 40 ft room module and a 60 ft clear span are different briefs even when both are called a building. Insulation should name an R-value or a U-value and the assembly it describes. Steel grade and coating mass stay on the supplier sheet, not on this website.

Questions buyers raise before outreach

Scope

Which costs must stay off the unit price?

Ask suppliers to split freight, tax, duty, foundation, installation, and optional accessories. A shell price and a turnkey price answer different questions even when the floor area matches.

What if the code edition is still open?

State the jurisdiction and mark the code edition as unconfirmed. The supplier should list the edition it assumed. Acceptance remains with the authority having jurisdiction.

Comparison

Can two factories be judged on finish photos?

Photos show a configuration, not the members in your quote. Compare the written frame, envelope, and exclusion list. Then look at schedule assumptions and the destination.

Does a budget figure lock the purchase?

An optional target budget tells factories the range you want to test. It is not an offer, and it does not mean a factory has already matched it. Per-unit and whole-order bases must be labeled.

Hand the same brief to the form

Include product format, quantity, destination, and the delivery window you hope to test. Drawings can follow after the desk replies. This form does not upload files.

  • Name the reference search only as context, then describe the building you will actually buy.
  • Mark shell, installed, or turnkey so exclusions stay visible.
  • Add wind, snow, and seismic criteria when you have them.
  • Keep high-end, mid-range, budget, or undecided as a preference.

Describe the specification, quantity, destination, and delivery timing.

The desk reviews the brief and asks factories for quotations on that written scope. Stock, price, code approval, and delivery stay unconfirmed until a named supplier answers the exact system. Read the Privacy Policy.
